A Seminar designed to discuss and examine a range of tobacco related issues is being organised by ASH Ireland, Irish Cancer Society and Irish Heart Foundation in the Alexander Hotel from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. on Monday, 26th September 2011. The Seminar will especially examine progress in regard to the achievement of a tobacco free society, as announced by the government in 2000. The challenges facing all those engaged in the fight against smoking and nicotine addiction will be highlighted.
The Minister for Health and Children, Dr James Reilly, T.D. is expected to open the conference at 9.00 a.m. Other presentations will be from John McCormack, Irish Cancer Society, Dr Brian Maurer, ASH Ireland, Dr Angie Browne, Irish Heart Foundation, Dr Fenton Howell, HSE, and others.
