ASH Ireland focuses on smoke-free campaigns

ASH Ireland has campaigned on many issues including:

• Smokefree workplaces for all
• Legal age of cigarette purchase raised from 16 to 18 years
• Detection of smuggled, contraband tobacco and prevention of illegal street sales
• Abolition of promotions for tobacco products
• Abolition of smoking in RTE television programmes
• Abolition of tobacco advertising in the print media
• Ban on smoking in cars containing children - ongoing
• Introduction of graphic health warnings - ongoing
